Highlights
Let’s talk about GRIT...
The kind that keeps you hitting “apply” even when you’re tired, the kind that pushes you to show up as your best (and most authentic) self for every interview, and the kind that says “I’m not done yet” after every setback and rejection.
This job market is no joke, but GRIT is one of the many things that will help us all get through this thing. Said by many much smarter than me (including Melissa Grabiner): Every "no" is just another step closer to your “yes.”
Keep pushing, keep believing in your self (and your worth), and know that your role is out there. Just need to find it.
You've got this.

Did you know Labor Day isn’t just about barbecues and a long weekend? If I learned about it in grade school it certainly didn't stick, so I did a little digging and thought I'd share. Because, you know, "the more you know".
This federal holiday in the US honors the achievements of American workers and the labor movement that fought for the rights we often take for granted these days. Things like fair wages, reasonable hours, and safe working conditions.
The roots of Labor Day go back to the late 19th century when workers began organizing, striking, and rallying for better lives. Events like the Haymarket Massacre of 1886, the Ludlow Massacre, and the Columbine Mine Massacre were all part of this fight for justice and dignity in the workplace. It wasn’t easy, and it certainly wasn’t without sacrifice, but it laid the foundation for the labor rights we have today.
So, while many of us are enjoying the day off today, I suppose take a moment to remember those who came before. There is power in people standing together.
