Joshua Eaton is a legal professional with an extensive career in public service and the private sector. He served as Deputy United States Attorney at the United States Attorneys' Offices from 2019 to March 2022, focusing on operations in Northern California.14 Prior to this role, Eaton had a long tenure with the U.S. Department of Justice, including positions as Executive AUSA from 2007 to 2019 and Assistant General Counsel and Hearing Officer from 2003 to 2007.1

Eaton's career also includes significant military service. He was part of the U.S. Army JAG Corps, serving in various roles including Division Operational and International Law Attorney (2002-2003), Chief of Military Justice in Bosnia (2001-2002), and Trial Counsel/Prosecutor in Hawaii (1999-2001).1

After his time as Deputy U.S. Attorney, Eaton transitioned to the private sector. He joined Binance as Deputy General Counsel in March 2022, where he led legal affairs and supported global compliance, investigations, and law enforcement coordination activities.23 As of December 2024, Eaton has moved on to become General Counsel at a stealth AI startup.1

Eaton holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo.12
