SUMMER SYNOPSIS | As the summer season comes to a close, and a new season quickly approaches, I am taking a moment for reflection and appreciation. 2024 has been a FULL year, and the last several months have been brimming with substance, bearing fruit beyond initially conceived. Memories made, lessons learned, barriers busted, challenges conquered, championships celebrated, disruptions deterred, boundaries buffered, directions determined divinely, curiosities cultivated, solutions sought, peace protected, relationships reformed, transitions traversed & traversing, progress persisting…

A wise woman once told me that many will want to share in your glory but few will know your story. My story, or at least this chapter of it, deserves an immense THANK YOU several times over—the people, the programs, the places and spaces. To the people who poured into me, as well as those who created the programs and places: THANK YOU. The programs & their participants have been: perspective shifting, restoratively recharging, bonded beyond boundaries, & connected in community. Moments still dance in my mind; memories to last a lifetime. Oh the places and spaces we have gone and how they illuminate a path for where we may go…

Nevertheless, a mere post cannot capture all the revelations reflections reveal, but I’m thankful for the moments & the memories, as well as the moments that remain. Thankful for all that has happened and that which has yet to occur. One thing is for certain and two things for sure: the journey continues & I’m going to continue to be great! ✨

This is HUGE! So proud of Rima and the club staff doing amazing work to support and advance our community. Jacqueline Kronk, you and your team have been building something special and I’m thankful to bear witness to those efforts. Serving as a judge in preparation for this opportunity in the past was such a rewarding experience, as are the various collaborations we’ve been able to engage in over the last several years. Thank you. Looking forward to those to come, too 😉.

Congratulations, Rima!! We are all so proud of you. Enjoy this moment, then onto the next, where I know she will undoubtedly continue to #BeGreat!!
