What a fortnight the last one! I have achieved a permanent position as Associate Professor (Profesor Permanente Laboral) at Complutense University of Madrid and attended the CRS Annual Meeting held in Bologna, where I had the chance to meet new and old colleagues and friends and showcase our results together with my first two PhD students ever! I could not have thought of a better July :) #Complutense #CRS #Bologna #PPL #YSC #DrugDeliveryScience

New paper out! Thrilled to share that our latest article on "Development and characterization of lipid nanocapsules loaded with iron oxide nanoparticles for magnetic targeting to the blood–brain barrier" has just been published in Drug Delivery and Translational Research, an official journal of the Controlled Release Society. In this article, a lipid-based magnetic nanocarrier prepared by a low-energy method is first described for external physical targeting to the blood brain barrier. This is a collaborative work between researchers from Complutense University of Madrid and Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, who have come together to gain insight into this multidisciplinary drug delivery approach. Enjoy reading!
