Judy Gantz is an esteemed figure in the field of dance and movement education, boasting over 25 years of experience as an international movement specialist, dancer, and teacher.

She is the Director and Founder of the Center for Movement Education and Research (CMER), a reputable 501c3 non-profit organization established in 2003, dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of dance and movement in healing and education.

Judy's career highlights include directing the CMER Dance/Movement Therapy Alternate Route Training program from 2005 to 2016 and teaching at esteemed institutions such as UCLA, University of Southern California, University of Washington, and more.

Her academic pursuits have centered around Laban Movement Analysis, dance kinesiology, and creative dance/movement education, emphasizing the importance of embodied learning, creativity, and expression.

A firm believer in the power of conscious embodiment, Judy aims to help individuals unearth the transformative potential of living an embodied life in the fast-paced digital age, using dance as a means of fostering social/cultural awareness and emotional intelligence.

Judy Gantz's reach extends globally, having taught Laban Movement Analysis in various international locations such as University of Limerick, Ireland, Seoul Korea, Moscow Russia, and delivering Embodied Leadership Training in Cologne Germany.

She holds a Master of Arts in Dance from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts from Sonoma State University, underpinning her strong academic foundation in the field of performing arts.

In addition to her role at CMER, Judy has previously served as faculty at the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies and as a faculty member at UCLA in the Department of World Arts, Culture, and Dance.
