Jules Sherman is a dedicated professional with a wealth of experience in healthcare design and innovation. With a background in Industrial Design and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Stanford University, Jules has honed her skills in identifying unmet needs within healthcare systems to enhance patient experience, safety, and clinician workflow. Collaborating with various stakeholders, including companies, academics, and hospitals, Jules excels in facilitating design-thinking workshops and spearheading research initiatives to develop impactful solutions.

Jules is currently involved in co-developing a nurse innovation program at Children's National Hospital in Washington DC, focusing on addressing challenges faced by nurses through design thinking workshops and creating product solutions to meet specific needs. For over 8 years, Jules has been instrumental in designing and teaching healthcare design curricula alongside clinicians from Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford University's Hasso Plattner Institute of Design.

As the founder of Maternal Life, LLC, Jules leads a company dedicated to developing innovative products aimed at improving healthcare outcomes for women and children. Her previous success includes the acquisition of her product, Primo-Lacto, by Lansinoh in 2018. Currently, Jules is working on new projects in collaboration with Stanford Medicine, focusing on improving healthcare practices for preterm infants, such as facilitating delayed cord clamping and promoting skin-to-skin contact in neonatal ICUs.

Jules' educational background includes a Master of Fine Arts from Stanford University, an exchange program in Design from ENSCI-Les Ateliers, and a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. With a diverse professional journey that encompasses roles ranging from Chief Executive Officer at Maternal Life, LLC to Contract Designer at Forms-Surfaces, Jules brings a unique perspective and extensive expertise to the field of healthcare design innovation.
