Julia Cohen is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in the field of environmental activism, advocacy, and nonprofit management. She holds a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Prior to her higher education, Julia completed her high school diploma at Beverly Hills High.

Julia has held significant roles in various organizations, showcasing her leadership and expertise. She currently serves as the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Plastic Pollution Coalition, illustrating her commitment to tackling environmental issues, specifically plastic pollution. Previously, she founded Julia Connects, LLC, and co-founded Girls Night Out (GNO), demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit. Julia also held key positions at notable organizations like the Woman's National Democratic Club, Made Safe, Environmental Working Group, Progressive Book Club, and Meaningful Media, to name a few.

Throughout her career, Julia has contributed extensively to nonprofit and advocacy work. Her roles have included serving as a Director, Consultant, Senior Director, Strategy Advisor, Development Director, Outreach Director, Consultant, and more at various organizations. Notable highlights of her career include being a Board Member at Atlas Service Corps and WITNESS, the Deputy Director at Campus Progress, and the Executive Director at YouthNoise and Youth Vote 2000. Julia's contributions extend to governmental organizations as well, as seen in her roles at the US Department of State and the World Food Program.
