🚀Mars Robot for Science Update!🔬
🗒️I am thrilled to have presented the paper, “Martian Exploration of Lava Tubes (MELT) with ReachBot: Scientific Investigation and Concept of Operations” at iSparo 2024 this year. In this work we discuss the ReachBot robot concept and how this technology could be used to explore lava tubes on Mars to provide insights to the scientific community.
✍Thanks to Stephanie Newdick, Tony Chen, Marco Pavone, and Mark Cutkosky for co-authoring this work. Special shout-out to co-authors Sara Cuevas-Quiñones (now an incoming PhD student at Brown!) and Prof. Mathieu Lapôtre for their impeccable work on the science investigation section.
🙏 Thank you to NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's NIAC program for funding our work with ReachBot.
