Julia Harteilus is a seasoned research and policy professional with over a decade of experience in international humanitarian and development organizations across Europe and the Asia Pacific region. Her expertise lies in accountability, international law, human rights, environmental sustainability, and decolonization of aid, focusing on the practical implementation of policies.

Her educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in International/Global Studies from RMIT University, a Master's degree specializing in international law and human rights from Uppsala University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History of Ideas and Sciences from the University of Gothenburg.

Julia has held various roles in prestigious organizations, including being a Ph.D. Candidate at RMIT University, an Independent Consultant at JMH, and serving in different capacities at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Australian Red Cross, UNICEF, and Concern Australia.

Her professional journey includes positions such as Regional Coordinator for Disaster Law, Environmental Policy Consultant, Senior Program Lead for Disaster Law and Green Response, and Program Lead for Disaster and Crisis Response. Prior to her focus on humanitarian work, Julia also gained experience as a UNICEF Child Protection Officer and as a sales associate at Tiger of Sweden.

With a strong academic foundation and a wealth of experience in diverse roles within renowned organizations, Julia Harteilus excels in translating policy objectives into actionable practices and contributing significantly to the fields of international law, sustainability, and humanitarian work.
