She began her career in 2009 after qualifying as a nurse, gaining valuable experience in a Coronary Care Unit at Warwick hospital and Cardiology ward. Julie transitioned to Hospice Care at Myton Hospice, where she specialized in delivering palliative care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. Her compassionate nature and holistic approach were evident as she addressed the physical, spiritual, psychological, and social needs of individuals in her care.

In 2011, Julie transitioned to a Community Nurse role, providing essential care to clients in their homes. Transitioning to the position of Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager in a nursing home in 2014, Julie took on significant responsibilities in clinical governance, audits, and quality assurance. She oversaw a team of approximately 33 care staff, specializing in End of Life Care, Chronic Long Conditions, and providing support to family members. Julie's leadership abilities were exemplified in her successful initiatives, which included introducing a nutrition pilot, facilitating research activities within the home, welcoming nursing students, and implementing the Gold Standards Framework for Palliative Care.

Julie's commitment to continuous improvement and professional development led her to complete the NHS Leadership Academy Training in 2015. This program honed her leadership skills, equipping her to influence positive change, enhance patient experiences, and improve outcomes. Throughout her professional journey, Julie has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to providing exceptional care and making a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector.
