Today, my alarm went off at 4:00 AM like any other weekday morning. I followed my usual routine, getting ready for the day ahead while also preparing everything my kids needed. At 5:00 AM, I joined a scheduled call for a semi-annual check-in, ready to share updates and plans.

However, the call took an unexpected turn. I was informed that, due to business reasons, my role was being impacted. In that moment, I found myself at a loss for words, unsure of how to react as the news sank in.

My story is not unique. Like many others, I've been affected by layoffs driven by business decisions. And while it's a reality many of us face, it doesn't diminish the uncertainty and fear that comes with it.

In the immediate aftermath of the call, I found myself navigating unemployment requirements, reaching out to my network for support, and evaluating personal situation for the upcoming weeks/months. I began to formulate a short-term contingency plan, knowing that adaptability is key in times of change.

Yet, amidst to the sudden change, I'm reminded of my worth. I'm a professional who thrives in bringing order to chaos, crafting polished presentations tailored to business needs, and fostering collaboration across all levels of an organization. I prioritize my team, ensuring they have the support needed to achieve their goals no matter the size of the request or budget.

While today marks the end of one chapter, it also signifies the beginning of new opportunities. I am open to networking and eager to connect with organizations in need of someone with my skills and dedication for Strategy, Operations, Program and Project Management.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with words of support and encouragement. #opentonetwork
