Highlights
Last week, I completed my internship at Bimbo Bakeries USA as a corporate strategy summer associate.
During the fast-paced 12-week program, I conducted market research and consumer analysis to investigate a significant trend in the CPG market, and the underlying drivers. Applying my MBA learnings, I analyzed extensive data on Bimbo and competitors’ products to identify key insights regarding consumer preference, innovation landscape, and fastest-growing segments.
Based on the market analysis, I developed recommendations for R&D and Brand & Product strategy, and identified acquisition opportunities. I was able to leverage my analytical skills to create pricing and P&L models to illustrate revenue and share capture opportunities in the $29B baked good market. I was honored to present these findings and recommendations to Bimbo’s executives.
I would like to extend a big thank you to everyone within and outside of corporate strategy team for their guidance in helping me get into the CPG world, and supporting my summer project. In particular, I appreciate my manager Joseph Auslander for his support and encouragement, and Orela Suku DeCurtis, Ben Cosgrove, Grant Vandenbussche, and Sarah Crockett for their Invaluable insights and collaboration throughout the summer.
I’m excited to take what I’ve learned and apply it to future challenges!
