Jurriaan Kamp

Jurriaan Kamp is a Dutch journalist, author, television personality, and environmental activist based in California.1 He is known for his "solutions journalism," with a focus on sustainability, innovation, and finding solutions for people and the planet.147 Kamp is the founder and curator of the 'solutions news' platform, KAMP SOLUTIONS.235 He is also the President of KAMP Solutions.
Kamp studied International Law at Leyden University in the Netherlands.1247 He began his journalism career at the economics desk of the Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad and later served as a correspondent in India for the same paper, as well as for Dutch radio and television.1 He then became Chief Economics Editor of NRC Handelsblad before launching Ode magazine in the Netherlands in 1995, which was later renamed The Intelligent Optimist.1234 In 2004, Kamp moved to California and launched the international English edition of Ode.124 In 2015, he launched a daily online solutions news service, The Optimist Daily.1234
Kamp is the author of more than a dozen books addressing sustainability, innovation, and solutions for people and the planet.1 He has also co-authored books such as LiFi: Communication at the speed of light and the emergence of the Internet of people and The Third Dimension: 3D farming and 11 more unstoppable trends revolutionizing the production of food and fuel regenerating nature and rebuilding communities.23 Kamp produces the show KAMP SOLUTIONS for KCET/PBS Television and Earthx TV, and publishes a quarterly magazine under the same name.1 He is also the co-founder of Jove Hydrogen, a start-up company with patented technology for producing green hydrogen.6
