I was thrilled to join the Huntington Beach City School District (HBCSD) this morning for its Staff Welcome Back Breakfast on behalf of California School Boards Association. It was exciting to be in a gym full of enthusiasm as educators and support staff get ready to welcome students back to school! Great to see Board President Diana Marks, Vice President Ann Sullivan, Trustee Paul Morrow, Superintendent Leisa Winston, Ed.D. and so many great education leaders! #BacktoSchool #OC

I appreciated this press release from Assemblywoman Diane Dixon's office mentioning the #education advisory group meeting I collaborated with Cooper S. from her office to organize last month with school board members and administrators from seven #OC school districts. The press release featured a quote from CUSD Superintendent Chris Brown: "Thank you to Assemblymember Dixon for bringing education leaders together to talk about the many challenges, as well as to brainstorm opportunities, in public school education today. We all agree we want the best in education for the students of our communities.” California School Boards Association
