Highlights
It’s Friday! Hell yes. Today also marks the end of Brain Awareness Week.
Given that the brain and neuroplasticity are such an integral aspect of my product, I’ll share three things I did this week to honor arguably the most crucial organ of our bodies:
🧠 I attended the “Stories of the Brain and Beyond” show hosted by The Friedman Brain Institute at Mt Sinai & The Story Collider where I listened to the vulnerable and personal stories of neuroscientists, psychologists, and psychiatrists. Even though I collaborate with these professionals, it was moving to see them in a different light, one where we were reminded that though they are helping us with our journeys, they, too, are on their own and deserve that same grace.
🧠 I’m iterating on my solution again before the upcoming pilot implementation begins.
🧠 My autonomic nervous system went haywire at the beginning of the week, cycling between excitement, fear, and adrenaline. It was hard to sleep, and I found myself pushing forward with mental fogginess. Welp, I had to re-prioritize my week to spend more time rewiring my brain to ensure I was in no threat. Now I’m regulated and closing the week off effectively.
How was your (brain awareness) week?

Yesterday, Becca Camp asked me to share a bit about my journey from being a traditional (corporate) Product Manager to starting my own venture in her "Leaving Product to Launch Your New Career" workshop (you don't actually leave, btw).
She wanted other overachieving Product women to hear about the changes I've made since joining her community over a year ago.
I'm here to share with you that I've leveled up because I learned to know myself and own myself.
I own my values. I own my purpose. I own what makes me tick.
I don't try to fit in anymore, and it's liberated me.
I can't fulfill the traditional template. Nothing about my life has ever been traditional. Why should my career be?
It probably won't be.
