Highlights
I just wrapped up my internship at CallisonRTKL where I was a Planning and Urban Design Intern this summer! I'd like to thank James Mellor, Angela Acosta, Dongwei Xu, and the many other wonderful people that welcomed me to the LA office, Shelly Zhu, for her kind guidance and incredible expertise on GIS, and most of all, camila simas for graciously mentoring me and giving me a chance to experience it all. It's been an incredible experience to have learned so much about urban planning and placemaking, and to have met the fantastic folks who are behind it all -- people filled with passion and heart to create vibrant places for people. After this summer, I am filled with hope and inspiration to continue this work and can't wait for more :) Thank you so much CRTKL!
When I first applied to be a Social Media & Branding Intern at Praxis Labs, I was excited to work with an innovative startup that tackled diversity & inclusion issues— but I never expected to be welcomed into such a wonderful family.
These past few months, I've learned and grown so much. From designing the social media organization system to managing multiple workflows, there was never a dull moment. I was constantly challenged to balance my creative & artistic abilities with crafting posts with care and intent for our online communities. In the end, I'm honored that I was able to play an integral part in defining Praxis Labs' branding and strategy, as the inaugural Social Media & Branding Intern! 💌 🌟
I'm incredibly grateful to Heather Shen and Elise Smith for their mentorship and care— always aiming to foster an environment of inspiration, as well as one of openness and vulnerability. I'm thankful for all the joy, laughter, and wonder during this internship, and I look forward to the future of Praxis Labs— where we can all be part of a more equitable and inclusive society ✨
