Kainee Simone Aguilar is a professional with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Ethnic Studies from Columbia University in the City of New York.

Throughout her career, Kainee has held various roles in different organizations showcasing her expertise and skills in fields such as education, social justice, communications, and public health.

She has served as a Restorative Justice Facilitator at Manukau Urban Maori Authority and has valuable experience as a former Private Tutor for Elementary-High School students, specializing in all subjects and SAT preparation.

Kainee has also worked as a Residential Youth Worker at Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children, demonstrating her commitment to supporting and empowering youth.

Her passion for social justice is evident through her roles as a Racial Justice Project Intern at ACLU, a Prison Visiting Project Intern, and Guggenheim Criminal Justice Fellow at Correctional Association of New York, and a Family Defense Practice Intern at The Bronx Defenders.

Kainee has a strong academic background in communications, as seen through her positions at Columbia University, where she worked in the Strategic Communications Program as a Communications Program Assistant and as an Events Associate.

Furthermore, she has experience in public health, having served as an HIV Test Counselor and Peer Advocate at Gay Health Advocacy Project at Columbia University Medical Center and as a Nutrition and Program Design Intern at New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Kainee has also been involved in community outreach and engagement, working as a Documentary Project Outreach and Community Engagement Operations Assistant at Ogilvy Public Relations.

Her research skills are highlighted through her positions as an Academic Editor for the Journal of Global Public Health and a Research Assistant in Sociomedical Sciences at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.

Additionally, she has shown her dedication to advocacy as a Peer Educator at Columbia/Barnard Rape Crisis/Anti-Violence Support Center.

Kainee's diverse background includes being a Student Ambassador to Rwanda at The Echo Foundation, showcasing her interest in global affairs and cultural exchange.
