It was a pleasure to host Dr. Tripp Shealy from Virginia Tech who delivered the 2024 Liles Distinguished Lecture at Clemson. Dr. Shealy’s talk focused on human-centered design and adaptability of infrastructure systems. Tripp graduated from our Glenn Department of Civil Engineering at Clemson University several years ago and is currently an Associate Professor in the Charles E. Via Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech.

I would like to acknowledge the Liles Family Endowment that supports many impactful activities such as these at Clemson. Also appreciate the support of my department chair Jennifer Ogle and school director Jesus M. de la Garza, PhD, Dist.M.ASCE, F.CMAA, NAC
