Kanav Kahol holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Arizona State University. He is highly regarded for his work in developing human-machine symbiotic entities, particularly in the realm of biomedical applications. One of his notable achievements is the creation of Swasthya Slate, a mobile tablet that conducts 33 diagnostic tests and aids frontline health workers in offering care by enabling test upload and using decision support.

Swasthya Slate has gained recognition from the National Rural Health Mission and is poised for deployment in six districts of Jammu and Kashmir, benefiting approximately 2.5 million individuals. Kanav Kahol's expertise spans various domains including the development of a universal medical education simulator, accreditation and assessment of clinical skills, leveraging virtual worlds and virtual actors for healthcare applications, analyzing workflows, and enhancing processes in healthcare, as well as focusing on preventative health engineering.

In his professional journey, Kanav Kahol has served as the Division Head of the Affordable Health Technologies Division at the Public Health Foundation of India, where he continues to make significant contributions. Previously, he held the position of Professor at Arizona State University, showcasing his dedication to academia and research.
