Mr. Rengarajan exited the company in 2020 after it was acquired by 8-Koi, where he now provides engineering consulting services.

Before his tenure at CDE, Kannan Rengarajan worked as a senior design engineer at an A&E firm and spent five years as a Researcher at the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC). Prior to his time at FSEC, he gained six years of experience designing piping, boilers, and pressure vessels for process and power plants in India and Indonesia.
Mr. Rengarajan is a member of prestigious organizations like ASHRAE, NFPA, ASPE, AEE, CCTS, and SAME. He has contributed significantly to the field by publishing over 10 technical papers in journals and international conferences. His academic background includes an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology and a B.S. Honours in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University's College of Engineering, Guindy.
