Prior to her legal career, Kara pursued a B.A. in English through the Teacher Education Program at the College of the Holy Cross, graduating Cum Laude, demonstrating her proficiency in language and education.

Kara has held significant roles at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, where she currently serves as an Associate, bringing her legal acumen to the forefront of her professional endeavors.

Her previous experiences include serving as a Summer Associate at the same firm, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of legal practices and procedures.

Kara also gained valuable insights into the judicial system through her roles as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Judge Jeffrey Cole at the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, and as an Extern for the Honorable Judge Daniel T. Gillespie at the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division.

Her passion for education is evident through her past roles as a Student Teacher at Burncoat Middle School and as an Assistant Permissions Editor at Pearson Custom Publishing, where she contributed to the academic world.
