OK SQUEAL!!! I couldn't hold this in any longer. All you The Cure fans out there... Check this out!
Michelle contacted me wanting Perry Bamonte fabric to make a hat for him and his lovely wife Donna. I'd created a range of Robert Smith inspired caricature fabric and was only too happy to draw Perry.
Michelle is so clever with her sewing. Check out this lovely makeup bag too. Donna is apparently thrilled and now wants Michelle to make a quilt. I think we'll see Michelle making some amazing catwalk creations one day. She is SO driven!
I do love the community around the fabrics and wallpapers I've created. I have met some amazing folk: other designers, interior specialists, opportunities to collab with bigger brands and getting to see your designs on goth rock stars!
To think this design created high up in the Blue Mountains in Australia has landed on Perry's head on the other side of the globe. Now that's pretty cool.
P.S. If you want to see what I'm up to, this morning I have been designing mythological sphinx queens. Inspired by some gorgeous cast iron chair ends that once resided out the front of the Imperial Hotel here in Mt Vic. I know one set are still there. Been thinking about these beauties. Go to 'new' on my Spoonflower shop to see more. :)
