What an amazing Data Privacy panel and turnout yesterday for the 15th Annual Boulder Startup Week 2024! I wanted to give a huge shoutout to our panelists on #dataprivacy Taylor Kay Lively (seriously the #SME on all things #legal when it came to data privacy) and Arieann DeFazio, whose business tales of what not to do as #entrepreneurs inspired the audience's questions to set businesses up safely especially using #userdata. Key Takeaways for those you missed this fabulous event:

  • When setting up your business, use a password manager, one company had a user get into the company's Slack, and everyone assumed they were a new employee and drained the company dry in one week! 💸
  • Utilize IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals as a resource of regulations (no need to be a member to get free resources) 📚
  • Get your #engineering lead on board on the importance of secure #data. If it's not important, consider a new tech lead! 💻
  • Keep access tight. Only people who need to access sensitive information should have it and be aware of #phishing & #scams! 😨

Whether your startup serves customers in Colorado or beyond, having a robust data privacy policy is critical. TY Holly Vezina, Tim Morrissey, Ph.D. + Jenny Miller for helping organize an amazing event and Jen Hanson for attending!

I recently had a friend recommend Durable for launching a website using #AI. I've used Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, Unbounce, and WordPress plenty but found Durable's #userexperience amazing!

  • They have their own CRM platform, marketing and you can legit 'Build your brand' including Primary logo, secondary logo, #fonts, colors, and #socialassets in one click based on the content you've uploaded.
  • #Durable has a very cool 'regenerate' feature to reset into a new #design/layout.
  • There's a "AI Assistant for questions or issues you have throughout the process
  • In addition to this there's #SEO automated suggestions for automation as well as other aspects to optimize your website (like social, blog links)

I've been really impressed, curious if anyone else has used similar products that has made #landingpages easier.
