Highlights
Came across a very insightful story of 'How a noble-minded monkey's actions, that were a result of his formal education, ended up being catastrophic for the fishes'
BACKSTORY
- At the darkest of nights, A baby monkey was born. He was the apple of his mama's eye. She always instructed her beloved infant to stay away from the MISCHIEVOUS RIVER, as it would eat him up. He followed his mother's instructions like a good monkey.
FRIENDSHIP BLOSSOMS
- While joyously swinging across the forest, he reached the riverside and was welcomingly greeted by a few fishes - He immediately became friends with them. While they were discussion 'How humans are walking backwards in terms of mental evolution' (Monkeys and fishes are smarter than you assume them to be, Humans)
FATAL OUTCOME
- The baby monkey suddenly realised his mother's words about the river eating him up. Hurriedly the monkey said to the fishes " my dear friends let me help you, you are drowning, the river is eating you" and placed them on top of the tree. And smilingly left, assuming he had saved the day.
LEARNING Many a times, we as professionals are criminal of the the fact that if :- A solution that worked brilliantly for a specific problem, reinforces our belief that it might be suitable for other types of problem as well. As we gather more and more experience, our inquisitiveness to understand the problem well reduces, and our eagerness to dish-out a solution increases.
Goal : - is to keep the inquisitiveness alive and not be solution-factory. As Good Intentions / Earnest Efforts may not necessarily equate to Good Outcomes.
