Kareem Ghalib, MD is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who has been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Columbia University Department of Psychiatry since 2008.12 He completed his undergraduate degree in English literature at Harvard College, earned a Fulbright fellowship in public health, and received his MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.12
Dr. Ghalib completed his residency in general adult psychiatry at Columbia University/New York State Psychiatric Institute, where he served as Chief Resident.2 He then completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia and Cornell University Medical Centers, where he was Chief Fellow.2
In addition to his academic role, Dr. Ghalib maintains a private practice in adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry.2 He has held several leadership positions, including:
