Karen Bakker is a distinguished academic, entrepreneur, and author deeply involved in the fields of innovation, the Future of Work, social justice, and environmental sustainability.

Her expertise spans across research, data analysis & interpretation, strategic & tactical planning, innovation, coaching & mentoring, and leadership & team management.

She pursued her higher education at renowned institutions, completing her PhD and being a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, and earning a Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Arts & Science from McMaster University.

Karen Bakker has held key positions at various organizations including as a Professor at The University of British Columbia, Vice President Strategy at Riipen, Co-Director of the Program on Water Governance at The University of British Columbia, Annenberg Fellow in Communication at Stanford University, Cox Visiting Professor at Stanford University, Canada Research Chair at The University of British Columbia, Associate Professor at The University of British Columbia, and Assistant Professor at The University of British Columbia. Additionally, she served as a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford.
