Karen Ehnat

Director of the Center for Disability Services

Karen Ehnat is a dedicated Student Affairs professional with a wealth of experience in supporting students dealing with disabilities, student support and advising, student development, and student success.

Her impressive career includes establishing the Disability Services Office at the Art Institute of Seattle and delivering crucial training on disability-related topics to faculty, staff, administrators, and other school systems within the Education Management Corporation.

Karen has also assumed leadership roles such as Acting Dean of Student Affairs on three occasions, showcasing her strong leadership and managerial skills.

She holds a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, both from the prestigious University of Washington.

Throughout her career, Karen Ehnat has held key positions in various organizations, including Director and former Interim Director of the Center for Disability Services at Everett Community College, Interim Director of Special Services at Shoreline Community College, and Chair for Disability Services and Mentor at The Art Institute of Seattle under the Education Management Corporation.

Her roles have also encompassed being the Interim Dean of Student Affairs, Disability Director, Student Support Coordinator, Director of Student Development, and Counselor at The Art Institute of Seattle, emphasizing her diverse skill set and understanding of the student experience.
