Innovation really is a team sport. Last month I led and participated in Atlassian's innovation ritual, ShipIt.

Teams come together from across the globe, learning, innovating, and taking on projects we are passionate about, all to make Atlassian better.

Our project leveraged AI to improve our ways of working. We were blown away by what we could create in 24 hours! On the team, we had a sr. data scientist Cenan Altunay and sr. program manager Sahar M.. We rolled up our sleeves and learned a lot about training an LLM and using our own tools to unlock the power of AI.

Without Atlassian's Team Anywhere approach to work, my career would have stagnated.

I am forever grateful for my partner's work that takes us all over the world as he films movies. But what does that mean for my career?

I get to collaborate with brilliant teams from India, the US, Australia, EMEA...all from home. I get to pick my son up from school and I get to lead internal innovation programs with Atlassian.

Congrats to Annie Dean, Head of Team Anywhere, for leading the charge and landing Forbes' 2023 list as leading the future of work!
