Karen Meadows is a highly educated professional with a diverse academic background. She holds a degree in MChem, Chemistry from the prestigious University of Oxford, a Master of Education - MEd in Educational Leadership from the University of Warwick, and a PGCE in Secondary Science from Birmingham City University. She also attended Freman College in Buntingford.

Throughout her career, Karen has held various significant roles in well-known organizations. She has served as a Science Advisor at the UK Home Office, worked in Commissions & Delivery at the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) within the Government Office for Science, and has been involved in Futures & Horizon Scanning Strategy Lead at the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs Secretariat at the UK Home Office.

Karen also brings expertise from her time as the Newton Programme Manager and Research and Innovation Lead at LocalGlobe, as well as her experience as a Policy Officer focusing on Genomics and Rare Diseases at the Department of Health and Social Care. Additionally, she has been part of the Science & Engineering Fast Stream program at Civil Service Fast Stream, sharpening her skills in various scientific and engineering domains.

Furthermore, Karen's background includes involvement in the education sector where she participated in the Teach First Leadership Development Programme for Secondary Science teachers. Her dedication to education is evident through her experience as a Science Tutor at Expert Tuition Limited and as an Academic Mentor at the UNIQ Oxford Summer School.
