In addition to her professional endeavors, Karen has demonstrated a commitment to volunteering and parenting, having been involved with organizations such as Wayzata Family Learning Center, North Memorial Hospice, and Mothers of Preschoolers. Her media experience also includes roles at WFLD-TV, where she served as Senior Producer for 'Fox Thing In The Morning' and held positions as Producer, Associate Producer, and Writer for the 9 p.m. news.
