Karen Peetz is a distinguished professional who has made significant contributions during her tenure at BNY Mellon. Serving as the President, she managed various crucial aspects of the company, including global client management, regional management, treasury services, innovation, and regulatory oversight. Prior to assuming the role of President, Karen led the Financial Markets & Treasury Services group at BNY Mellon, overseeing multiple key businesses within the group.

Karen initiated and spearheaded important diversity and inclusion initiatives at BNY Mellon, such as the IMPACT and WIN programs. These programs demonstrate the firm's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. Karen has also been recognized as one of the '25 Most Powerful Women in Banking' by American Banker, with her exceptional leadership skills, crisis management abilities, and philanthropic efforts standing out among her peers.

Before her time at BNY Mellon, Karen accumulated valuable experience during her 16-year tenure at JPMorgan Chase, where she held various sales and business management roles, including an international assignment in London. Karen's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University and a Master's Degree from The Johns Hopkins University.

Currently, Karen Peetz serves on the Boards of Directors for prestigious organizations such as the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, Private Export Funding Corporation, and SunCoke Energy. She is actively involved in the Business Committee for New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Additionally, Karen has held leadership positions at United Way of New York City and Penn State University's Board of Trustees.
