Karen Pickering is a highly qualified professional with a diverse educational background. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Engineering and a Master of Science (MS) in Environmental Engineering from Rice University, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Karen Pickering has held various significant roles at NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). She is currently serving as the Associate Division Chief. Previously, she has been the Branch Chief of the Biomedical Projects Branch, Deputy Manager of the Human Factors and Behavioral Performance Element, Deputy Branch Chief of the Thermal Systems Branch, and Group Lead of Water Hardware and Technology Development at NASA.

Throughout her career, Karen Pickering has demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental and civil engineering, as well as leadership and management within the aerospace industry.
