Amidst preparing briefs, writing B2B content, and selling technical products to enterprise clients (or whatever specialty you bring to the table), it is easy to forget that many scams in the threat landscape are not elaborate or complicated and rely on volume over strategy to survive (my marketing friends will recognize this as a black hat version of the "spray and pray" method).
🤬 The screenshot above from our grandpa today is a perfect example of one of my most despised scam strategies - phishing for vulnerable victims by using cyberbullying to trick them into giving up financial payments or credentials.
