Previously, she was a key member of Bigfoot Biomedical and Gynesonics, where she contributed as a Board Member and Chair, respectively.

Karen Talmadge has also played crucial roles at the American Diabetes Association, where she held the positions of the Chair and National Officer of the Board of Directors in both 2013 and 2018. Her impact on the organization has been substantial.

In the medical technology industry, Karen has been instrumental in her roles at Medtronic Spinal & Biologics and Kyphon. Her contributions as the Vice President, Co-Founder, and Chief Science Officer at Kyphon have been particularly noteworthy.
