Karen van Sacker is an experienced advancement executive who currently serves as the Director of Divisional Advancement for STEM faculties at the University of Melbourne.

In her role, she collaborates with academic leaders and advancement professionals to engage alumni, friends, and industry leaders as volunteers and donors to support the university's initiatives.

Karen has a diverse educational background that includes studying French as a Second Language, earning an MBA in Business, a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages, a postgraduate certificate in Public Relations/Image Management, and completing a Company Directors Course in Board Governance.

Prior to her current role, she has held various positions such as Development Advisor at the Earth Observatory of Singapore, Vice President and Senior Consultant at Global Philanthropic Canada Inc., Director of Fundraising and Campaign at The University of Queensland, and Managing Director at DVA Navion.

Her extensive experience also includes roles such as Director of Development & Alumni Relations at Southern Cross University, Company Secretary at The University of Queensland in America, Inc., and Principal at KVS Consulting.
