Associate Professor of Urology

Dr. Karim Kader is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in the field of urology and urologic oncology. He pursued his Fellowship in Urologic Oncology from the prestigious University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, honing his skills in managing complex urological cancers. Prior to this, he completed his Residency in Urology at the University of Toronto, where he gained a solid foundation in urological procedures and patient care.

Dr. Kader is a proud alumnus of The University of British Columbia, where he received both his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and Immunology. His educational journey also includes a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry from the same institution, showcasing his strong academic prowess and multidisciplinary knowledge.

Currently, Dr. Kader serves as the Director of Urologic Oncology and holds the position of Associate Professor of Urology at UCSD, where he is actively involved in research, patient care, and education. His contributions to the field are further demonstrated through his role as a Co-Founder of echoBase, a notable organization aimed at advancing urological innovations and patient outcomes. Previously, he also served as an Assistant Professor of Urology at Wake Forest University, solidifying his reputation as a respected clinical and academic figure in the urology domain.
