Returning to where it all began as Director of Rugby in Belvedere College S.J. ⬛️⬜️
Belvedere College was where I first started to play rugby and learn the values of the sport. The school played a significant role both on and off the pitch in making me the man I am today. I’m very proud to say that the majority of my closest friends are those with whom I shared a classroom with all those years ago.
I’m very grateful to be able to play a role in shaping the future rugby programme for its current students and contributing to their experience of the school. Extremely excited to get started and a huge thank you to Gerry Foley and Colin McCarthy for the opportunity.
Yesterday was my last day in CBC Monkstown following four incredible years. It was a wonderful experience filled with moments that will last a lifetime.
When I first started, Rugby in CBC was on the decline and the sport needed a revival. I was lucky enough to come across some amazing people during my time that helped CBC achieve a historic few years. I’m especially thankful to all the coaches and parents for their efforts and dedication. But none of it would have happened without young men who made the difficult choice to be brave and change the perception of Rugby in the school and to those outside of CBC.
It was a privilege to share in the success of the players as teams or as individuals achieving provincial and international honours.
Hopefully the school will continue to grow under someone else’s guidance now 🤞🏻🇧🇪
