Karl Teien is a seasoned professional with a rich background in product management, social entrepreneurship, and strategic advisory roles.

Currently the Director of Product at Schibsted's Subscription Newspapers in Norway and Sweden, Karl has also worked as a Product Manager at Vipps and held various product management positions in esteemed organizations.

He is an alumnus of the Management Trainee program at Schibsted and has a diverse educational background, including a master's degree in Social Entrepreneurship from Hult International Business School and a bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from Simon Fraser University.

Karl's experience extends to international settings, having studied in prestigious institutions across Canada, Spain, South Africa, and the USA. He has also worked on scaling a mobile savings product for unbanked users in India and was a finalist in the Hult Prize competition at the Clinton Global Initiative.

His professional journey includes roles such as Marketing Strategist, Associate Product Manager, and Strategic Advisor, showcasing his versatility and expertise in various aspects of product development and management.

With a passion for social impact and entrepreneurship, Karl has also been involved in initiatives like Pulse Active Savings, SoBiz: Beyond Profit, and the World Wide Fund for Nature, where he held roles as an Ambassador of Change and Project Assistant.
