Highlights
Building community is a core component of health and wellness for women. So I’m always pleased to be in the rooms where that happens. 🎶
Today, I was honored to speak on the “Fibroids & Finances” panel addressing women and their money when it comes to health care. The Barbara Jordan Leadership Institute partnered with Fibroid Institute Texas to host a Self-Care Forum in Dallas, bringing women together in honor of Fibroid Awareness Month in Texas. During the event, I got to experience a mindfulness workshop and coloring book party hosted by Dr. Kimberly Annette Hardy.
It’s a full circle moment for me, connecting my heart for women’s financial wellness through the H3W Investment Club with my core work on women’s health & wellness advocacy through Houston Wellness Workshops for Women (H3W).
It matters.

Sometimes the little thing makes the big difference…
After four days without electricity, the Fifth Ward community near the SisStore Joy Christian Bookstore on Lyons Avenue welcomed the popsicles, watermelon, and cold water with joy. And we were thankful to do our little part.
Thank you to Sherrian Morgan, MS and Jeffery Gordon of Health Sharing & Christian Business Partners for coming out to support the event - and to the Bible Ninja Kids for making it fun to serve others.
