I asked what advice you'd give to someone new to the field and you suggested these gems: 🔹 The ability to unlock project data. - It's amazing to see how much that has changed over the past 15 years! 🔹 The importance of asking for advice and how to adapt to criticism and feedback. 🔹 Finding an able and willing mentor makes a huge difference. - I have seen this time and time again. 🔹 How big the delta is between knowing what people should do and getting people to do it! - This is probably why it's easier to give great advice than to practice it!

Great talk from Tim Campbell at the Oxford Union! He spoke about his experience winning #theApprentice and ups and downs in business and life since then. Here are some of my key takeaways:
🔹 Your most precious resource is your time. Use it wisely. 🔹 Resilience is built from learning from your mistakes. His first business after the Apprentice failed 'catastrophically' and he was distraught but he realised that it didn't stop him from doing things and that he needed for ask for help. This actually formed the idea for his next successful business. 🔹 If you ask the right people for help, it will accelerate your growth exponentially. 🔹 When asked about the hopelessness of some Apprentice candidates, he said - don’t write people off. Have some empathy! Yes they make some silly mistakes but they're under a lot of pressure and nobody would like to be judged by their worst moments. 🔹 There are challenges to being 'other' and it can be difficult to discuss race. But your difference means people won’t forget you. You stand out. This reminded me of some of the advice of Caroline Flanagan - you're not the 'only' black person but the 'first'.
