Kate Boldry is a Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education at UCL Institute of Education (IOE).13 She joined UCL IOE in 2015 and specializes in delivering lectures on the Equalities Act, social justice, and allyship.1 Boldry is particularly focused on training student teachers to be effective pro-active LGBTQ+ allies in the classroom.1 She is also involved in developing a more inclusive curriculum in teacher education and works with colleagues to train student teachers and staff on delivering LGBTQ+ inclusive Relationship and Sex Education.1

In addition to her teaching role, Boldry serves as a Module Leader, overseeing the Teachers as Authors (TAA) and Learning, Teaching and Reflective Practice (LTRP) modules. Her areas of expertise include:
