Kate Colwell is a strategic storyteller with a passion for addressing global issues. Her expertise lies in the future of work, intersectional feminism, and corporate social responsibility. She has a background in supporting mission-driven organizations and a keen interest in how interconnected systems impact human wellbeing. Kate's academic projects have covered areas such as sustainable tourism, the future of work and motherhood, ethical innovation in reproductive health, and post-pandemic corporate social responsibility.

In terms of education, Kate studied English and Global Sustainability for her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Virginia. She also delved into Irish Drama at University College Dublin and pursued a Master of Arts in Communication, Culture & Technology at Georgetown University. Her academic journey also includes studies at James Madison High School.

Throughout her career, Kate Colwell has held various roles in communication, writing, and strategic planning. She has served as a Senior Communications Writer/Editor at Georgetown University and as a Strategic Foresight Consultant at Georgetown Women's Alliance. Kate's previous positions include Communications Strategist at Prescient, Staff Writer at DC Theatre Scene, and Playwright at Dramatists Guild of America. She also spent time as Communications Manager, Media Relations Manager, Rapid Response Communications Specialist, and Communications Associate at Friends of the Earth U.S. Additionally, she has worked at Shakespeare Theatre Company, University of Virginia, The Campus Kitchens Project, Research!America, and Cavalier Daily.
