One of the problems many moving companies face is how to prioritize leads. So why is this a problem? Well, the wrong prioritization means less leads convert and less jobs get booked, so less money.

Here are 5️⃣ things I’ve learned from 20 years in sales & closing millions in deals:

  1. Ask great questions.

Here are my top 3:

  • Why are you looking at this?
  • What happens if you don't do this?
  • What does success look like if you do this?

2. Follow-up like a boss

Every single contact. No matter what. Follow up with an email, a text, a call.

Have a question you need someone else to answer? Get the answer fast and follow up as soon as you can.

  1. It’s not about you.

It's always about your prospect, not about you or your solution.

Your potential customer doesn't know your quota or timeline, and they don’t care.

They have a business problem they need solved.

Don't make it about you, make it about them and how you can help them be the hero.

  1. Once they're sold, stop talking (or, to put it bluntly, STFU)

Anything you say after the fact will not be helpful.

Once you have gotten a verbal yes, focus on closing and implementation. Keep it simple!

  1. There are no absolutes in sales, except maybe this: people buy from people.

To sell is to be human. Learn to connect with your customers on a human level and you WILL close more deals.

  1. Ask great questions. 2. Follow-up like a boss
  2. It’s not about you.
  3. Once they're sold, STFU
  4. People buy from people.

What else would you add?
