Kate Hickey is an accomplished professional with over twenty years of experience in marketing, strategy, and trade development. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Ireland Canada Business Association (ICBA).
Throughout her career, Kate has showcased her expertise in leading consultancy roles, most notably as a lead consultant on numerous multisectoral trade missions from Canada, where she has successfully positioned companies and developed value propositions across various industries including lifesciences, pharmaceuticals, agri-food, biotech, ICT, manufacturing, and digital media.
Prior to her current role, Kate served as the Head of Marketing & PR for Version 1 Software and as a Business Strategy Advisor at the Dublin Business Innovation Centre. She also held the position of Marketing Manager at Laura Ashley Ireland.
Kate Hickey has an extensive educational background, holding a Master of Business Administration in Business from Smurfit School of Business, as well as studies in Management at the National Institute of Technology Management, Marketing at University College Dublin, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Sociology from Trinity Business School.
In addition to her professional roles, Kate has been actively involved as a mentor, supporting over eighty start-ups as an Enterprise Ireland Mentor. She has also provided consultancy services to a range of companies and organizations such as Astutec, La Croissanterie, IES Limited, and many more.
