Kate Kerrane is an Energy and Electrical Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Energy Systems Engineering from NUI Galway, Ireland.

Currently, she serves as a Project and Energy Engineer at Omexom, where she project manages large-scale grid collections for wind, solar, and battery storage farms across the country, contributing to the energy transition.

Prior to Omexom, Kate gained valuable experience at ESB over five years, holding roles such as High Voltage Substation Designer, Renewable and Flexibility Planning team member, and contributing to ESB's Smart Metering Project and Health and Safety team.

In her role as Student Energy's Community Manager, Kate fostered a community of young energy leaders globally, launching the Chapter Model program to educate students about the global energy system.

Her educational background and professional expertise have enabled her to innovate in areas such as water safety, marine technology, and urban planning, reflecting her commitment to a sustainable energy future.
