Kate Merrill is an accomplished professional with a rich background in international non-profit administration.

Her diverse experiences have honed her skills as a proficient communicator, negotiator, and strategist.

From contributing to the production teams of major cultural events in France to fundraising for esteemed arts organizations in Portland, Kate has made a significant impact on various projects.

She has a Master of Arts (MA) in Cultural Project Management for Public Spaces from Université Panthéon Sorbonne (Paris I) and a Bachelor's degree in Art History from the University of Washington.

Kate has also studied at Barnard College/Columbia University.

Currently, she serves as the Executive Director at the Central Eastside Industrial Council, where she brings her expertise to the forefront.

In the past, Kate has held roles such as Community Engagement Director at the Central Eastside Industrial Council, Marketing Director at Cargo Inc, and Marketing and grant-writing Consultant in a self-employed capacity.

Her experience also includes serving as the Institutional Giving Manager at the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, Public Relations Manager at the International Theatre Institute ITI (UNESCO), Company Director at Company Stefanie Batten Bland, and Owner/Translator at Merrill French Translation.

Furthermore, Kate has been involved in audience relations, outreach, and production for various large performing and visual arts events throughout her career as an Arts Administrator.
