Katharine Whitcomb is a poet, collaborative artist, essayist, and short fiction writer, currently serving as a university professor in English/Creative Writing.

With a background in Stegner Fellow Poetry from Stanford University and an MFA in Poetry Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, Whitcomb has established herself as an expert in contemporary creative writing, literature, poetics, professional writing, and experimental writing forms.

As the Chair of the Department of English at Central Washington University and having held positions like Co-Editor at Cascadia Chronicle and Director at the Center for Geospatial Poetry, CWU, Whitcomb's expertise extends to writing program curriculum development, online learning, and leading interdisciplinary study abroad programs.
