Katherine Peel is a final year student pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Ottawa. Her specialization includes Ecology, Evolution, and Behaviour, coupled with a minor in Environmental Studies.

Katherine's interests lie in environmental health and ecological research, particularly focusing on the potential impact of human activities on various geographies and ecosystems.

She has actively contributed to several organizations, including the Environmental Monitoring Program at the Canadian Museum of Nature, where she gained valuable experience in monitoring and analysis.

Moreover, Katherine served as an Outreach Coordinator at Ecology Ottawa, advocating for environmental conservation, and held the role of a Laboratory Assistant at the University of Ottawa, where she honed her research skills.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Katherine has a strong background in sports, having been a Varsity Swim Team Co-Captain at the University of Ottawa for 2 seasons after being a member for 4 seasons.

Furthermore, she has a history of community involvement, having volunteered at the Dalhousie Food Cupboard and served as a Shift Supervisor at Pita Pit Canada.
