Kathy Gatford is an Associate Professor in the School of Biomedicine at the University of Adelaide and a research group leader in the Robinson Research Institute.1 Her research focuses on understanding how early life environments influence subsequent health, particularly in areas of metabolic homeostasis and pregnancy outcomes.1

Dr. Gatford has a strong academic background, holding a Bachelor of Agricultural Science with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne and a PhD.1 She has been awarded over $2.9 million in research funding since 2007, including grants from NHMRC and Diabetes Australia Research Trust.1

Currently, her research interests include:
