Katie Leabo is a licensed Massachusetts DESE School Counselor for grades 5-12, holding a graduate degree in School Counseling from the University of Denver's Morgridge School of Education and an undergraduate degree from Suffolk University.
With a background in psychology and education, Katie has diverse experience, including working with youth in foster care through the National CASA program in San Francisco, focusing on providing educational support to abused and neglected individuals.
She has recently concluded a full-time role at a Boston Public School, primarily engaging with high school students.

Highlights
This week marks my last week at Hired and most likely my last week in a Sales role ever. I very rarely find myself feeling the need to update my LinkedIn world about what I'm up to but this felt like a big change. I moved out to San Francisco in 2015 to look for a job in whatever would take me. Looking back on a ~7 year sales career, I've worked for two San Francisco companies, hit big milestones in both companies for my career, adopted a dog, moved to New York and now Boston and gotten engaged and married. I'm ready for what's next!
I wanted to thank the people that kept me running toward the goal line every quarter for almost four years at Hired! Christa Diaz and Tim Eckert-Fong, some true OG's. I remember my very first interview with Christa and Tim in the San Francisco office, I walked out of there and told myself "I needed to work there".
Tim was a peer when I started working at Hired, he helped me get my bearings straight as a Customer Success Manager. Now, I'm leaving with Tim as my boss (an a fantastic one) overseeing our amazing SMB Account Management team (shoutout to you all).
Christa wrote me a recommendation for graduate school, over 2 years ago. She is fiercely loyal, a mentor, and truly embodied that boss b*tch energy I needed from my first female boss!
To go back to my roots, I don't want to forget the people who jumpstarted my sales career Aaron Barnes, John Foster, Paul O'Hagan, Todd Jason, Kim Hubbard and Vevek Kapur. All these people went on meetings when I didn't feel confident enough to go alone, sat for hours explaining technical roles to me, and became friends outside of the work place. You all trained me up to excel in any venture I decided on and for that I appreciate you all and many more "Apexers".
I will be finishing up my graduate degree in School Counseling this upcoming June. In hopes of finding a school in September that I can continue to support students and help create the next generation of humanity. Cheers to taking scary leaps into night school, new careers, and 2023 being a great year!
